CHI (Energy)

Energy – Chi “chee”
Is the Flowing Active Form of Your Life Force.
It is the energy of life extracted from our food and breath that provides us with our daily power, drive and passion for life. Chi is dependent on healthy lungs and digestion and must be replenished on a daily basis.
Chi is the source of your adaptability and the strength of your immune system.
There is an old Chinese saying,
“It is OK to become tired, but never exhausted.”
Becoming tired at the end of the day just means that you were actively engaged, playing or working hard and used up your daily energy. Becoming exhausted means that your burned through your basic energy and used your stored Vitality (adrenals) as fuel to get by.
Sound Familiar?
Prolonged running on adrenalin for fuel can cause accelerated aging, taking years off your life.
The hardest thing about me getting chronic fatigue wasn’t the actual exhaustion – it was realizing I knew so little about health. All of those years working in health food stores hadn’t prevented my own illness. I learned a lot but the missing piece of the puzzle was the simple basics of human life, the type of information I got from learning the “Three Treasures“
The simple idea of allowing time for restoration and not becoming exhausted escaped me. The macho idea of “you snooze, you lose” was the basic plan I followed.
I was always exercising when exhausted, pushing myself through the next workout thinking I could make it up later with an extra hour of sleep. That extra hour never came and still I pushed on.
I was a classic case of a guy running on pure adrenal energy and you know what? One day it gave out.
As I started to rebuild with the herbs and my Chi came back, I became more outgoing and gain a few inches in height.
No, the herbs don’t actually make you grow in inches.
When a person is exhausted they often have terrible posture and usually slump forward. Since the lungs are an integral part of building Chi and my Chi was getting stronger, I naturally breathed deeper and filling my lungs with oxygen pushed my shoulders apart and I literally stood up.
It had the effect of making me seems 2 inches taller.
The “Three Treasures” Philosophy stresses the importance of a moderate lifestyle and nutrient dense food and herbs to replenish your energy daily. This is truly one of the keys to aging gracefully and why a good herbal tonic can play such an important role.
Herbs Are Truly A Gift
When you eat well everyday it’s easier to build a constant supply of physical energy. Nutrient dense food is the key to maximizing the amount of energy your diet can supply.
Chi tonics maximize the amount of energy you make from diet.
When you’re burned out and have gone to extremes, herbs are truly a gift when it comes to rebuilding a worn out body.
